Oh Beautiful Woman Poem by Francis Duggan

Oh Beautiful Woman

Oh beautiful woman you do not look your age
With younger and attractive women you could hold centre stage
Through your dark brown shoulder length hair one can see strands of gray
But none can say of you that you've known a better day
With a daughter of twenty you are forty three
But you look fit and young and attractive to me
Oh beautiful woman untainted by guile
You win people over with the warmth in your smile
So down to earth and so lovely to behold
People like you never seem to grow old
At strangers you even do smile and say hello
And people like you everyone wishes to know
Oh beautiful woman unshackled by care
People as nice as you are have always been rare.
