Neither had it occurred
Nor I thought to explore
But yes many times it crossed mind
I had yet to find
From an ordinary family
Leaving merely on blessings from almighty
I belonged to small town
Almost cut off from world and remained unknown
Yes, so much love for motherland
And confided this to many friends
Air and nature is my priority
I must remain with continuity
I lived in poverty but took it as blessings
As there was strong resolve but nothing went as missing
There was paucity of fund to study
But opportunities too were ready
Humble and honest as I used to claim
But was never in position to blame
I loved people with frankness
As there used to be smile always on face
“Hasmukh” * as my name stood
“Smile on face” as it was understood
I loved to be soldier and at the service of motherland
From the childhood it was the clear trend
What else after serving nation?
Poetry was my obsession
Never had caught pen in hand
But played feet with music on band
I thought to put it as introductory poem
Even though people may be least concerned about them
I wonder in this land with readers all over from world
Real family from all people and of course new fold
