to crash
and burn?

'live fast
die young make
a good looking corpse'

was is motto
in youth

A great poem. There is subtle philosophy here. You pose a question in terms of a possibility, not an inevitability. If this were done when educating people about the power of 'speed' we could, just might, get more people to understand the consequences of their behaviour. Really well done, Terry. Yes, it is not necessarily the speed....but careful of that sudden stop!

Speed is an interesting philosophy, when I was young people told me speed kills, I replied so does cancer; I noticed when riding motorcycles we often were never riding fast enough, until we had to stop in a hurry. The necessity of sudden stops always involves an element od shock surprise.

It all depends on what the true meaning of crash is defined in your conclusion. Great writing though.
