Okay, Goodbye Poem by Sindiswa Nobuntu Ndamane

Okay, Goodbye

Tell me about the chance of living if you leave,

Tell me how my heart will skip a beat when you're on sight,

That effortless smile when hearing your name,

The exciting shivering feeling when skin comes to contact,

You're leaving.

Okay, goodbye.

It feels like a chance for me to breath again,

The feeling I have been longing for,

How can I claim you were the source of unfailing love?

I sit paging the moments we had,

They were supposed to pass

For me and you to reach a greater level,

They were never going to be permanent,

We loved once and once it was gone

Forever it will not go on.

Okay, goodbye.
