She was the only one I loved
My mouth could not admit
My heart always said it.

She was too beautiful to be loved by only me,
Many of them wanted her
I tried to ignore her because I could never give her love.
She deserved more than me,

Even though she gave me joy when I saw her,
I could not pretend that I liked her,
I was going to be ecstatic if she said "I love you"
I was going to stop her if she said "I love you"

My love is unfailing but I would fail for her,
She is more than I can afford.
If she came seven years later I would be with her,
I would give her time, life and love.

O' dear Lord!
Where would she be in those years?
But they say time heals and I know,
There are definitely those scars
Which will never vanish and this is one,

But I pray that if this passes
I shall get one like her
Because my life would be complete
