Old Love Poem by Francie Lynch

Old Love

Rating: 4.5

It just doesn't feel like love
Without the palpitations
And loss of breath,
When you still had a shine
Like an unwrapped gift.
I don't feel the tingle
With your presence,
Or the anticipation of your call.
It just doesn't feel like love
Until I see old pictures,
Hear old songs,
Pause home movies.
So, I will bring ribbon home,
And tie a bow,
Wrap you like a new gift,
Like someone I once knew.
