Old Photograph Poem by Tabitha abner

Old Photograph

A dusty photograph of days come and gone.
I cried a little too hard, a little too long.
My heart has holes of emptiness and sorrow.
You won't be with us come tommorrow's light.
Cause tonight your on wings taking flight.
And I'm torn at the edges, knowing your gone.
An old photograph, I' ll carry on.

Every memory of you in that photograph.
Stays buried deep in my heart, still broken.
Shattered teardrops like a waterfall overflowing.
Won't see you come the moonlight, one star bright.
Cause tonight your an angel with wings, flying free.
I can't turn back time and bring you home without wings.
An old photograph, I'll carry with me.

A photograph on the nightstand beside my bed.
The light shining down like a halo over your head.
I look out my window at the stars and heaven above.
Knowing that forever I'll be surrounded by your love.
You flying like a butterfly watching over me.
I wasn't there when you grew wings.
An old photograph, I'll carry with me.

Very touching poem. I hope the best for you. Life gives us some very tough days. Love always carries us along though.
