Pieces Of My Heart Poem by Tabitha abner

Pieces Of My Heart

In the distance of the darkened night.
On the sandy shoreline, moon so bright.
You're shadow next to mine; us holding hands.
Pieces of my heart; laying in the sand.

Laying in the bed that night; hard to sleep.
The window opened; as curtain blows.
I hear the breeze whispering my name.
Pieces of my heart; blowing away.

Swimming in the water; so blue.
I wrap my arms around you; real tight.
Something pulls you under; you let go.
Pieces of my heart; swimming deep below.

Sitting on the shore, to this day.
The sun goes down above the bay.
I run my hand across the sand, slowly.
Pieces of my heart, buried closely.
