Oluoma Poem by Anugo J. Edoka

Oluoma

My smile for so long ceased
Long have I waited for the arrival of peace
For in no other have I been pleased
Out of the blues you appeared with a sensational fix

I have slept with the sweet reverberation of your voice
You say the things a lonely man would dream of
Your laughter is gold, your smile heavenly
But it is your heart that melts my soul

Mermaids envy your beauty
My dream is to make you mine
To see that golden smile every morning
If the Lord comes afterwards, I'd gladly triumph.
