On A Good Day Poem by Dean Meredith

On A Good Day

Just like a good wife
Only she's not
She justifies him
In her clouded mind
In that long ago isle

And our desecration
None of it filmed
Except within our minds
Erase it from me
I am no good to her

Our shared issues
Bring us together
It is boring but lovely
All of our wills
Billions of games going

Donate your funds
Share your misdeeds
And any suspicious behaviour
You can leave your own name
Or a pseudonym as seems fit

The weather warned of a tropical low
I was caught in her middle
Buckled down, swam out
Her spotlight caught me, caught us
In Borrowed Bay

In shadow, in sway
On Borrowed Bay
We caught each other lying
Slapped our pride
Made music from it
