These are the things that make me happy
The streets that lead to love
The houses that hold the most beautiful creations
The world full of wonder and delight
The music that soothes my ears
That brings out the true feelings in my heart

Through a melodic form of everlasting entertainment
Poetry that soothes my mind with beautiful forms of meter and
verse;
Stories that embrace the adventures that everyone
Desires to have—

These are the things that make me happy

The cherry blossom trees that grow in the meadow
The Japanese elms that bloom in the spring
The flowers that grow in the pastures
The birds that sing a song of happiness, jubilee, and hope
Their imminent return once all the snow is gone and evaporated
The time of year at which life comes back

Even though it's here for a short time
This does not matter to me:
