On My Street Of Dreams

My love for you unrequited,
rules every breath I take
the terrain from me to you uncharted
and wider than the widest lake.
My favorite reverie
is to dance the Vie En Roses!
No fool I, it would be a wonderful memory.
I grow weary of the poses my heart must assume
trying not to see the unfurnished room
between you and me.
So Dear Cherie, say R.S.V.P.
If La Vie En Roses is too your cup of tea.
