On The Concrete Floor Poem by SC. Crews

On The Concrete Floor

Rating: 4.5

On the concrete floor.
I had no control.
It was freezing.
Stripped.
I couldn't scream.
All I could do is smile and say that felt "nice".
He knew what he was doing.
He was hurting me.
But he didn't care.
The monster was attacking me.
His teeth ripped me apart.
My self worth diminished.
I heard a knock.
One that tried to save me,
But all I could do was cry.

A strongly compelling piece expressing the overwhelming pain of being powerless in a situation of abusive exploitation. Riveting and disturbing, which conveys the difficult truth of such circumstances. Excellent writing, good poet.

A good depiction of a painful memory. Well captured.
