Wrangles And Bent Poem by SC. Crews

Wrangles And Bent

Rating: 5.0

Can't you just acknowledge me?
As a person?
As your daughter!
Why am I so invisible to the world.
I call, answer you.
Reply a thousand times.
Yet you still do not hear me! ! !
I am not validated or accepted.
I work so hard yet I am not appreciated
Why do I even try?
Every word spoken
Is neglected and forgotten..
Am I a nuisance?
A problem for the soul?
Left out to die...
Wrangled and bent.
Sorrowful
Broken..
A mess..
Forgive me.

I have read several of your pieces posted here, and I am very impressed with the raw, honest introspection that fuels your writing. The exploration of our inner space is one of the great themes of all literature. You certainly have skill with your command of vocabulary, and the ability to create compelling visuals. I look forward to reading more of your work, good writer.

It may be a dialogue with death or may be a word from the mouth of death. It is so despised. Thanks. I work so hard yet I am not appreciated Why do I even try? .... Am I a nuisance?
