On Their Side Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

On Their Side

Rating: 5.0

I would love to speak
But feel no weak
It provides strength
And will power to go at any length

It opens mind
With thoughts so kind
To feel warmth and happiness
That is to feel oneness

So I speak with strangers
Mingle with and prove good manager
Not to show any smartness
But with a view to bring change on face

Many people may be feeling sad
The day may be looking bad
My words may bring little comfort
I shall always go to them and report

“Who am I”? I ask many times
It echoes and come back any time
I ask no further
And roar into laughter

I feel sometimes
Why to play with time?
Why not to utilize even under duress?
When no thread is left to trace

Men and women may cease to exist
But not their pain and agony make exit
It shall remain as permanent part
We need to think fresh and start

I would love to be on their side
Even if differences may be wide
I shall feel each pulse of their beat
Even with insult, I shall smile and greet
