Once Poem by soren Barrett

Once

I know so little,
but in passing, I knew love once
and like an acquittal
all suffering it blunts

Stolen glimpses of the past,
a man who could see, but now is blind,
with fondness that will always last
coloring the blackness of my mind

Passion is only skin deep
but love goes to the bone
It pardoned the sins that I reap
though only once did I it own

I can die with a smile,
though it was so long ago
A redemption from life's trial
and that's all that I need to know

So beautifully inked. Love is eternal and sublime. Nice share. Thanks.
