Once Our Secret
Once a secret to
Our own eyes
Now has lost
It’s proper disguise
Everyone who’s anyone
Can see the truth
By the gleaming love
That I have for you
But it’s not so simple
As it will never be
Will there be a time
For only you and me?
Tell me how to let go
Of this selfishness, to
Never hide but seek my own
Journey that leads directly to you.
