Once Upon A Playful Loss Poem by soren Barrett

Once Upon A Playful Loss

Playful puppy turned dog grown, from loving all now guard teeth on loan
Once kitten now cat what was play now business finding a rat
Child's innocence lost, gums to sharp teeth and tongue the cost
A friendly humming bee now the only focus becomes protecting honey
A tender young rose that with time thorns grows
