One Cannot Say Of Him Poem by Francis Duggan

One Cannot Say Of Him

Rating: 5.0

He does like to boast of his uni degrees
And he tells us that knowledge does not grow on trees
His successes in life to him a sense of pride
This is something from anyone he does not hide

He says to the top he is working his way
The company manager with huge take home pay
Of his life's achievements he does love to brag
For narcissism he is one who carries the flag

He does love to tell of his lovely uni going two teenage daughters and his beautiful wife
The marvellous people in his wonderful life
And his grand new home and his expensive car
So many nowadaya who like to proclaim of how fabulous they are

One cannot say of him that he is a humble man
The one who is surely his own greatest fan
Who tells you that poor people are poor by choice
He does truly love the sound of his own voice.
