One Day, No More Poem by Randy McClave

One Day, No More

One day you will want to show me
But, no longer will I be here,
No longer will I wish or dream or see
No longer will you bring me cheer.
One day that day will come
And only God almighty knows just when,
And until then you can act dumb
One day you will not hear my voice or see my grin.
No longer will I beg of you
And no longer will I ever again ask,
No more will I bother you as you say I do
Now, forever I will be in your past.
One day that day will arrive
When you will hear from me no more,
No longer will I be alive
No longer will I see you as I had before.
