One day
While jogging on the highway
An unusual sight I saw
That filled me up with awe.
I flipped open my camera
Quickly shot a few pictures
In one the beauty so well captured
Run forgotten
I was beside myself- enraptured.
Later on at leisure
I admired your beauty with pleasure
The bushy eye-brows
The doe-eyed expression
That ever-contented smile
True or an impression?
The elegant curve of your neck
That distinctive pacing gait
You are known for your intelligence
And that ever-resilient state.
I have no words to describe your beauty
The tenderness you show to your mate
I applaud you on your hardiness
So glad to run into you
O Ship of the Desert.
The undulating motion
The pendulating heights
The complexions- beige brown or white
A caravan of camels
Always an awe-inspiring sight!
