One Dollar More Poem by Randy McClave

One Dollar More

One dollar more
Will make you less poor,
More money for you to hide and store
A dollar extra than what you had before,
Another bill for you to hold and adore.

One dollar less
Fewer worries you need to confess,
Lower amount for you to hold or guess
A dollar fewer than excess,
No need to show off or impress.

One dollar more
What the rich and the greedy care for,
The devil's true whore;
One dollar less,
And God will bless.

I got goosebumps when I read this one! You can't serve both God and Mammon. A thought-provoking poem, Randy!
