Take me in your embrace.
Lock out time and place.
Erase reality from my mind
And replace it with just us.

Say my name in a way
That makes me feel real.
Turn my focus away from the chaos.
Make me see what is within my grasp.

Kiss me that way you do
That brings me out of my funk
And arouses in me memories
Of innocent glances and timid hopes.

Make me feel sixteen.
Then make me feel twenty.
Remind me of the girl I was
And the woman I will always be
In the eyes of the man
Who loves me.
