i have been told one million times that
love conquers all but it seems the coordinates
of my existence have never been found or
voyaged too. i thought i had found my destination
in you, i guess the atlas i used was obsolete and rotten.
i tried to sail away from you but i arrived
at stormy seas, the north star i followed burned
like your kisses, which scorched my mouth like
my first menthol cigarette. when i tried to
soar, you crashed into me like a wrecking ball.
and we came down, blaring, burning as you
touched my skin turning it to ash
A write that lets us know your love encounter crashed into ash but you turned it into a big statement...enjoyed the read..wait for the magic carpet will return regards
A young mind with fine words, keep going young lady, and as for love it has a way of finding you, thanks Daniel 10
chloe the sequencing of the phrases is superb; the way you have expressed yourself with aggression is marvellous......great going
Chloe, I love this... but the reason is clear... you write an awful lot like I do... the metaphors, the allegory. Thanks for asking me to read this wonderful poem. Steve

wow...the imagery in this poem is incredible. After my second read I felt every emotion that was described and it was almost as if I wrote it myself. Great write. Loved it. -travis
