One's Life Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

One's Life

Rating: 4.5

Variety of influences in one's life!
However, life is like a chameleon at times;
And the white girl with brown eyes came knocking at your door,
Able to teach you what you don't know.

Love is there when you find it,
Peace is there when you are by it,
With the muse of old men and women directing the youth!
But, the red river is very deep.

In heaven's kitchen what do you expect? !
Tell me if you know;
In hell's kitchen what do you expect? !
Tell me if you know;
For, it is imposssible to deal honestly with a thief.

The politics of life,
With unfair taxes in order to please thier pockets;
Of those ruling over us,
In the land of corruption.

Store of gold! !
With tantalizing facts when, you have the truth;
To keep the laws of righteousness,
And, to follow the right path.
