One Verse To Go - Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

I’m continually searching for words to write,
And subjects for Poetry too,
From early each day until nightfall,
You may not believe it ~ but, it’s true.

When up I do get, and drink my first cup,
I reach for both paper and pen,
I hope that the words will begin to flow,
As I wait, and wait, ~ until then.

My Mind does go blank, I ponder some more,
I write down my words here,
As little by little, this poem does get writ,
As my Mind goes into second gear.

I now need a Title for this daily verse,
But, what will it be today?
One verse to go, my Mind rambles so,
As it does every second, each day.

This Poet writes verses whenever he can,
His Life History is written down so,
So folks who do read will know how he lived,
But now ~ it is time to go.
