One With Shore Poem by Holly Jamestone

One With Shore

Three Generations
One softly, lovingly observing the Other Two
The little one with eyelashes longer than imaginable
And eyes as large and blue as the ocean
As she totes her beach toys onto the brown-sugar sand
While her mother’s long, curly golden locks blow gently in the breeze
And her admiring “Gammy” is awestruck by the pair
Three Generations
All so grateful for Cardiff By The Sea
A girls' day of Heaven on Earth at the shore
For it is at the beach where one loses herself
Renews her spirit, then tucks it into her beach towel
And carries it with her into the sunset
While three sets of footprints in the sand are then made
One With Shore
