The moon lights the night
But only at full capacity
When I trudge through the dark paths
With nothing but my thoughts
I only see bleak hope and misty avenues
I have walked in the night
I truly understand the depths
Of a darkness-embodied, starless, moonless night.
Trudged in the murk
And come out in a tainted shadow of myself
In the absence of light
I have become an agile dimness to rival
Dawn at my chaos
And the allure to instill agony
Awakens my soul sprightly
There is only dusk in me.
But if I rise at day-break
And the sun hits just right
I will cast the light on your way.

The effects of light and dark are vividly portrayed. An interesting poem.
