Only A Fallacy Poem by Francis Duggan

Only A Fallacy

Rating: 5.0

It is said you receive from life what is only your due
But many people with justification could tell you this is not true
The people born of poor parents who only know of poverty
With such a saying about life would never agree
The people who survive from day to day
It should not be their due in life to live in this way
Few born into poverty above it in their lifetime rise
Many never receive their fair dues from life one does come to realize
Only a minority receive their fair dues from life i have come to believe
The good things life has to offer the poor never receive
There are billions of people today Worldwide
Who are at the wrong end of the social divide
That we receive from life what is only our due is only a fallacy
Suppose this is how it is and how it always will be.

Yes, it's a fallacy- nicely probed and discussed critically. Thanks, Francis.
