Otp Poem by Elle Rose

Otp

I am on the phone
with my friend
Ho, ho!
I hope it never will end.

Henry the Cow
Well, he had a sad life
I hope that I will not
Endure such strife

It's healthy to exhibit
Concerning behaviors
Life is not bland
It comes in so many flavors

I go for a walk
Then what do I do?
I go for another walk
Okay, now I am through

I sit in my home
And wonder who I am
I am without direction
Without a plan

And just as my mind
Drifts to Henry and his despair,
I think, wait,
I have a friend somewhere

Yes, she is far,
But still she exists
I ask her to call me
She doesn't, but I persist

And then, she calls!
Finally, I am free!
Loneliness and boredom
Flee quickly from me

We talk, and we think
We philosophize so deep
Is a goat a small cow,
Or is it a sheep?

We have such smart ideas
About living this life,
Like can you microwave plastic,
Or can this make you die?

We ask big questions,
Like what's that thing in the sky?
A light, a lamp?
Or a big pizza pie?

At the end we concede,
That while conversation has been great,
Our minds are too smart
And we have been born too late

We are the last great thinkers
Of this generation, and the next
The world is run by idiots
Once our bodies lay to rest

So we grieve our intelligence
As smart as we are
And accept our mortality;
All great minds must fall

We are who we are
To the world we are a gift
But to each other, we are more
We inspire and uplift

So to you, my dear friend,
Thank you for your time,
And don't be a stranger
Since we are of a rare kind

Our minds are so great
And our ideas so bold,
We must continue to discover
And inspire the world.
