Our Bond Poem by Leslie Alexis

We were specs of dust within the cloud
Journeying as dust does along the way
But in the drift found the other endowed
With qualities that made us want to stay

We stopped awhile to wonder in play
To mingle passions as the time allowed
To search each crevice- each quirk survey
To know each breath till rusts that shroud

The unused had no choice but to fall
And at that moment we shone anew
I found in you my needs - I found my all
(You made me whole and I completed you)

We obtained the greatest by letting go
And by letting go we kept our shine
We are strengthened by the rouleaus
Of energy that deep within us aligns

To bring us close for the tightest bonds
This world will know in all its time
(When one shifts the other responds)
For you I'll climb every hill, I'll climb.
