Our essence—the divine spirit
God once breathed into us—never dies.
In my coffin, I'm not; I can still say I'm alive.
No tombstone on my grave can bind me to the earth;
I am a free soul, living—that is life's true worth.
As a child, they taught me, "You're mortal, you'll fade, "
But the illusion of death now feels like a charade.
For my true self lives, even when I depart,
I remain alive—the divine spirit can never die.
I hear echoes around me; a new reign begins,
My life flashes before me as I float in the Time's river.
Not to heaven or hell—no place to remain,
I flow with the river, free from all pain.
I gaze at Time's river and ask him why,
He answers, "You're living—you'll never die.
Even in coffins, even in graves,
You flow with me, for you are not separate from me."
