Our Love Rendezvous Poem by Heaven Kalu

Our Love Rendezvous

Cakes are made with flour
Ice-creams are made with milk
But your love is made with the purest oenomel
Brewed from the finest grapes in Jupiter
Shared amongst the angels in Heaven
And sent to the world for my redemption

I've searched all over like an Acadian
Seeking refuge inorder to secure the love
I've always believed was meant to be like
King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba did
Truly, you're simply all the love I espouse
For if love truly conquers all and yet we
Remain slaves... what then is the use of
The power of love in this dispensation?

But I will gladly regurgitate your love
Should I be found wanting more of you
For when the darkness of hatred gathers
The light of your love shall be her end
And even if strife rises like the edifice in Montreal
I will put my trust in your love that never fails
And live happily ever after with you.
