Our Pretty Alleys (زواريبنا الجميلة) - Poem by MOHAMMAD SKATI

The pretty alleys were born in us and We were born beautifully in them,
We are the pretty sons of the pretty Alleys with pride and with love,
Our pretty alleys inspired us to sing, Inspired us to love, and inspired us to live,
We love our alleys like we love the Pretty stars and the pretty shores,
Our pretty thoughts were born with us And we learnt how to love all people, Our pretty alleys taught us to be polite, Taught us to be human beings, and to be good neighbors,
We the proud sons of the pretty alleys in Which our parents were born and were raised,
It is the pretty and simple image of Our proud traditions and pretty habits, and It is pretty life of our alleys which we Are proud and happy with everything in it.
