Our Stars Poem by taylor wiebe

Our Stars

The stars were beautiful and so were we,
out of millions of others we chose each other,
out of the darkest of nights.
at times it felt like we were the brightest of them all,
then other times it was like we faded,
we saw the good in each other,
and that’s what pulled us together,
then you looked in the opposite way,
looking for an excuse to look in to the darkness,
then slowly and uncertainty,
you drifted away,
out of reach, out of touch,
left in the atmosphere,
scared and alone.
i tried to hold onto what we had,
but it faded away,
now i see millions of other bright star’s,
shining with glee,
and then there’s just me.
so when you have second thoughts,
or your truly sorry,
you can look up, into the night sky
and see the faint star that's slowly fading away,
reach up and lighten it,
with your smile and touch,
because your the one. I missed so much
