Out Of The Twilight Poem by Juan Olivarez

Out Of The Twilight

Out of the twilight came a bat,
Flying through the air thick and fat.
It flew straight at me, it was a fright,
A bat flying at me, in the early night.

I tried to duck, but it zeroed in,
It flew right in landed on my chin.
I don't remember much, it's all a blur,
But the batter was shouting, ' you can keep it sir.'
