Daniela Mercelina

Outstanding She Is - Poem by Daniela Mercelina

She carries a big name
Although, she is not a female monarch
She certainly behave and act as one
She is polite, diplomatic, a good listener and advisor
Outstandingly,
Outstanding
She is

Although, she is not the head of the state
Playing cards bear the figure of her name
Or you can hear her name on a certain bed size
In Biology she would have the task of laying eggs
Outstandingly
Outstanding
She is

Although she doesn’t carry a crown
She deserves one for being strong, smart
And firm in her believe
Outstandingly,
Outstanding
She is

Although she doesn’t belong to a royal family
She is the daughter of the King of Kings
The Almighty God who will protect and bless her through her life
Outstandingly,
Outstanding
She is

Although she doesn’t rule a country
With God on her side she is destined for great things
What is the most powerful chess piece?
She is…. As that chess piece in life
She will be able to move in any direction
Outstandingly,
Outstanding
She is

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Inspired by Maya Angelou’s poem “Phenomenal woman” and its a riddle of the name of a sister. A sister not by blood but by God and heart!

A lovely tribute to the Queen of Poetry. A giant and a phenomenal woman of substance who came, saw, and conquered the world of poetry. Piece of great elegance, well articulated and insightfully penned with conviction. Kudos Daniela! You are on your way... (Report) Reply
