Over And Out Poem by Ima Ryma

Over And Out

I'm a candle that's been around
For quite a while shedding some light.
But now to burn down I be bound,
And should happen sometime tonight.
Off and on lit in this household
When electricity went out.
The humans happy then to hold
A candle so to see no doubt.
But soon I'll have to say goodbye.
All in all I have served my best.
So when my wick does burn out, I
Wax poetically at rest.

No rest for the wicked, I guess,
But rest for the unwicked, yes!
