I wept over the demise of friend
It was normal and not tragic end
Normally we mourn the death
And wait for recovery till last breath
What do we all remember?
If he is not family member
Yet he is missed by you all
We regret the disappearance of soul
Some of the good things are striking
As he was always joking
Making us lighter by few movements
And sometimes by funny comments
He used to drop in any time
Night or day was no bar for him to come
He may come at lunch or dinner timing
And spend the beautiful evening
He has sense of humor
That attracted me most forever
He never felt shame or downward
He used to offer encouraging words
He was with me since childhood
Almost together we stayed in neighborhood
He was never a stranger
With me he was brother and passenger too

Dear Hasmukh ji, losing a dear friend, particularly one you have known from very young days, is a very poignant moment in life. This leaves you shattered and it takes long to come to terms with it. This sadness is brought out well in this poem. Regards, GSP Rao, Hyderabad Mar 25,2014
