Overheated Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Overheated

Step back.
Look at it.
Deep breathe...
Then go.

Step back.
Look at it.
Deep breathe...
Then go.

Step back.
Look at it.
Deep breathe...
Then go.

And if this is a brick wall,
These attempts are made...
To try to break through,
It is best to check to see...
If there is a door open.

And if there is...
An experience teaches,
Checking for cleared entrances...
Is the first thing one should do!
With a saving of time,
And a cooling down...
Of an overheated attitude.
