Owed To Beer Poem by George Hunter

Owed To Beer

Budweiser is my favorite brew
Tho I sometimes have a Heineken too.
Bud heavy or light,
I don't give a mite
And if thirsty enough
Might give in to my plight
And even drink a Miller Lite.

Pabst, Hamms, and Milwaukee's Best
All those beers have passed the test.
There are so many, many brews
It's getting awfully hard to choose
Among the brands that come my way
I'm more confuse-ed every day.

So help me out of this terrible bind
'Cause I don't really give a rat's behind.
America's brands are thirthy-four hundred
And because of this I've always wondered
How many labels I could go through
Before I ended up in the stew?

The least I can do is try them all
And do my best before I fall
Or end up clawing up the wall
Or maybe see pink elephants
Sleeping in their little tents.

So remember our motto
'In beer we trust'
'Cause soon we'll end up in the dust!

Nice ode to beer. Have you ever tried the microbrews? A bit more expensive but the selection and the taste is well worth it
