Own World Poem by Paul Warren

Own World

As you walk around in the world
White cords hang from phones held
No-one else can hear their songs
As the tunes invite them to sing along

And you can listen and speak with friends
In a conversation that you think never ends
It makes me wonder if they are retreating
Into their own world however fleeting.
