meri jaan, agar main chal basa aur tu zinda rehi---

to dukh ki koi yahan jagah no hogi.
koi jagah bhi hum se baD kar nahin hai.

gehoN ki dhool, raigistan ki rait
waqt, behta paani, ashpasht pawan
behtay beejon ki tarah, taraa gayi hum ko.
bikhDay huay hum hotay in k siwa.

ye chaaragrah jis main ab hum hain,
hey cHotay say anant! tumain hum cHod jaaen gay.
magar meri jaan, hamaray pyaar ka ant na hoga.

jaisay is ka janam na hua tha, is ka ant
bhi na hoga: ek dheergh dariya sa ye hai,
bhoomi badalta hua, onth badalta hui.
