Paddleboat Poem by james watkin

Paddleboat

A blue streak and a white sign
Of lake's seams ripping.
Then unjoltable again.
Smug, with Day's crown re-settled.
Of diamond light, each grain.

Asking to be excused, as twere;
With arm-held tightness
Leading self, abject away.
A reverence for quiet
Has its timid say!
