Pain coursing through me
All because of one phone call
Tried to make my daughter's day
yet the pain got to be way too much
My heart shattered into a million pieces
When she told me what you said
Pain coursing through like a wildfire
rushing through my veins
As if calling me that wouldn't hurt her
What did she do to deserve this from you
I hurt so much
from the pain that you caused
I shouldn't have answered your call
A father should know better than
to say things about his child's mother
when the child is on the phone
It really hurt when
you put down my parents
I am so glad that I am not
moving closer to you
For this pain is far too much
for me to handle
Pain is coursing through me
like a wildfire
