A Mother's Love - Poem by Grace Hays

A guide in my life
A shoulder for me to cry on
The best support a daughter
can have

You didn't have to be my mom
Yet you chose to take me in
And you have shown me
what love is like

I thank God everyday
That you are my mom
For He gave you the gift
of a mother's love

You give me love
even when I don't deserve it
You are always there for me
The best mom a daughter
could ever ask for

My best friend
my mom
Both in one
God truly did give you the gift
of a mother's love
