Pain Poem by Gilbert Pena

Pain

Rating: 5.0

Pain that hurts so very much
Yearning for my daughter touch
Eyes so lovely, smile so sweet and
The prettiest fat little cheeks
Hugs and kisses that would feel my soul
A special bond i Can't even show
1st steps that aren't mine to see
A face full of tears you wouldn't believe
Thought of you is all i have
Dreaming one day you'll call me dad
As i wish upon a star but
Just like it your so very far
Tears that fall like endless rain
Each one filled with a fathers pain

I am glad you get to see her, Gilbert. I know the pain of having children being far away. Daughter in the 2nd line should be: daughter's and a few capitalization errors (I should always be capitalized) but otherwise, nicely done
