Painful Actions Poem by Ana Monnar

Painful Actions

Rating: 5.0

The volcano erupted
the ardent lava flowed downstream
Flaring tempers – risen degrees
Time turned lava into hard rock
Very painful – hurtful events
Not a blow to the abdomen
Sense of insightful wounded heart
Merciless and very ungrateful
Sacrifice is a foreign word
Are you miserable and lonely?
Or do you like living that life
Losers are a dime a dozen
Forever do you want to be?
Look around, you, at your loved ones
Your painful actions affect them too
