Painting Portraits Of Music Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Painting Portraits Of Music

Challenging rhythms, calling to intellect, invigorating this
being, filling it with an intense energy that will last for-
ever, even after death itself.

Time giving up moments to music being played rapidly into
the night, focusing on the wonder of sounds as they contin-
ually bounce down lines of rhythm.

Giving chords their moments in the spotlight, reaching for
the spotlight in the middle of this night, looking forward
to the ending and beginning of each and every score.

Lighting up people's minds in the middle of the night, joy
and happiness being created within the lighting of minds
and intellects of each of the musicians playing here.

A wondrous sight being painted through portraits of music,
joining with imagery of poetry now being written here at
the Dubliner.

Constant delight carrying everyone into depths of rhythms
as they let themselves go, minds taking in moments of
decisive sounds and energy of the band.

Reaching beyond the problems of the day, giving a soothing
feeling to everyone's hearts, souls feeling the beauty of
a new spirituality.
