Pansies (Novelinee) - Poem by Gert Strydom

Far away hidden in a secret grove
yellow, purple and black as the dark night
pansies grew to express someone's sweet love
and on my eyes there was a blessed sight,
a more fragrant picture I hardly knew,
suddenly life was lovely and strong
where a myriad of lovely flowers grew,
I heard some birds singing a happy song
and strange it felt as if I did belong.
